Job Title: Customer Service/Cashier
Reports to: Tavis Weber
Date: November 28 2016
Post Closing: December 10 2016
Customer Service/Cashier is responsible for selling bakery products in a timely and courteous manner while providing relevant information regarding ingredients and baking processes.
Provide courteous and knowledgeable customer service
Follow policies, procedures and guidelines for cash handling, opening/closing store procedures
Meet and exceed health and safety regulations/expectations
Uphold the standards Golden Hearth Bakery has set for service and quality
Assemble wholesale orders
Prepare baked goods as necessary
Maintain a clean workspace and assist in cleaning the facility
Assist periodically with special projects as required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in customer service
Excellent verbal communication skills to provide a high level of response to customer inquiries.
Ability to handle customer requests and ask for assistance when necessary
Experience with debit machine and POS cash register an asset
Experience balancing cash register
Display knowledge of baking, pastries, sourdough and a passion for local food
Experience with baking beneficial
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The hours for this position are from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00pm on Saturdays. There may be some variation of these hours.
Ability to work in a fast paced and high temperature environment
Ability to stand (be on feet) for long periods of time
